B2 ( project): ADVERTISING: relaunching a product.
- Information and listenings about advertising
script video- the idea behind the logo
- Classroom task: An advertising campaign
STEP 1: learn the language for discussion.
DOWNLOAD THIS FUNCTIONAL LANGUAGE:
Useful classroom language for the advertising campaign:
- putting forward new ideas
- reacting positively to new ideas
- reacting negatively to new ideas
- summarising/recapping (recap)
STEP 2: relaunching the product, aspects to consider:
- changing the name
- changing the packaging
- changing the advertising to target a different age group
- drop/raise the price
STEP 3: post your notes and final decisions onto Trello. You will see some windows, named: Group 1 4ºA, 4ºB,etc.
STEP 3: create your poster.
Think about the visual impact and remember to create a poster with your product. You can use www.canva.com to create your poster.
The secretaries can post their summaries in the comments section.

News: World Climate Summit in Paris 2015
On November 27th 1995 the King of Pop Michael Jackson released the single and video " EARTH SONG". "Earth Song" music video featuring Michael Jackson walking through a burnt down forest singing. Includes footage depicting pollution and suffering of people around the world.
20 years later the situation is still an urgent global challenge.This issue is getting worse and worse.
30 November 2015: UN climate summit opened in Paris this morning.
I think it's about time to do something for Planet Earth.

B2- Speaking strategies practice: How to prepare your outline to deliver a monologue
Last Wednesday we agreed on me leaving a post on the blog to upload the speaking sessions you're having with the language assistant teacher on Wednesdays.
Please follow the steps below to prepare and record your speaking.
First, read the following instructions:
SPEAKING SKILL TIPS:
To prepare your monologue think about the following points:
1. Brainstorm vocabulary related to the card using bubble maps, small mind maps,etc.
2. Write a bare bones outline.
3. Add information to your bare bones outline. To do so, you'll need to:

1. Here's an outline sample Kathryn has prepared for you on last year's card model 8A. Please read them through them.

4. Send me your embed code by email or submit it in the "comentarios" section below.
5. Listen to your classmates' speaking tasks.
6. Choose a classmate's speaking and draft its outline.
7. Let's share the results in class.
