REMEMBER:
Going to and will are sometimes used interchangeable. 

 Going to is used to talk about:

1. stronger predictions ( something will happen). Example: Ella's a really good student, I think she's going to be a brain surgeon when she gets older.' 
2. intentions. Example: I'm going to stop eating so much chocolate this year'. 
3. plans. Example: I'm going to learn 

Will is used to express :
1. confidence.
2. decisions, offers, promises or threats that are spontaneous, or made quickly at the moment of speaking. Example: 'It's a beautiful day, I think I'll, or I will, go for a swim later,' or 'maybe I'll phone my friends and organise a picnic'.
