BEST CLASSIC COMEDIES: CARY GRANT, KATHARINE HEPBURN

 
 A revival of classic films, best comedies of all times. 

Would you consider this film a slapstick comedy? Why/not?

 Watch the first 25 minutes and answer these questions: 

1. What's David's job (Cary Gant)? 
2. Is he married?
3. Why is he playing golf? Who is he meeting at the golf course? Why is meeting this man so important to him?
4. He meets a lady ( Susan) in the golf course, who is she? How do they meet? What's their relationship like? What happens in the parking lot?
5. What happens at the cocktail lounge? 
6. What sort of misunderstanding is related to a purse?

Keep on watching the film, 'til minute 30. While Silvia is driving them in the car, How does David feel about their whole day together? In David's words, how does he describe Susan?

 These scenes are full of grammar structures and verb tenses, can you name them? Take notes of different sentences you hear in the first 20 minutes of the film
