PRESENTATION TIPS: HOW TO START ANY PRESENTATION.
What's a pitch presentation? 



Let's keep our classroom presentation simple.

ACADEMIC ENGLISH PITCH. CLASSROOM ACTIVITY:
Outcomes Advanced. p. 11. Speaking. 
Decide how to spend some funding on a town called Oldbury. Read the information and the ideas on page 186 ( Student's book). Take notes and get ready in class to make a short pitch for your proposal to present to class.

Here are the points you'll be discussing in groups: 
1. INTRODUCTION to the project.
2. TEAM involved in the project.
3. PROBLEM: state the initial problem.
4. ADVANTAGES.
5. SOLUTION.
6. BUDGET, CITY AREAS TO BE COVERED
8. CONCLUSION.

FUNCTIONAL LANGUAGE: 
THE STAGES OF BRAINSTORMING:

1. Initial brainstorming/Asking for ideas.
2. Organising the ideas/Putting the ideas into order/Putting the ideas into categories.
3. Editing down the ideas/Choosing the best ideas/Getting rid of weak ideas.
4. Supporting your arguments. Anticipating other people's doubts and arguments.
