2. They get to meet the victims of their crimes and to understand fully the consequences of their actions.
3. It has set up a system where offenders bring their families to the meeting with their victims
4. They think that their views are taken into account more.
5. Because young offenders are more likely to be truly sorry for what they did and will probably follow later programmes better.
6. Both sides agreed to differ in their opinions, but some thought it might be worth exploring the system further in New Zealand.
